Cigna Park Run Village returns, renews health and fitness focus in the New Year

Cigna, a global health services provider, today announced the revamped edition of its flagship event, Cigna Park Run Village, to get Dubai residents off to an energetic start in 2021.

The first edition of the new phase is slated for January 9, 2021 at Al Barsha Pond Park in Dubai. The free-timed run offers participants a choice of a 1.5 km, 3 km, or 4.5 km run, along with other workout activities, with the event open to people of all ages and fitness abilities.

In a nod to the ongoing health priorities worldwide following the COVID-19 pandemic, the current phase focuses on making fitness easy and accessible to all. From young adults, teenagers, families, older individuals, and people of determination, to more regular and seasoned athletes – fitness enthusiasts can now enjoy additional activities based on their preferences on the sidelines of the run – including cycling and yoga.

In line with its ongoing efforts to raise awareness about the benefits of leading a healthy and active lifestyle, Cigna aims to attract more participants to the community event this year. Cigna Park Run Village introduces an element of fun to the company’s mission of shaping a healthy population through various initiatives focused on good health and well-being.
