With fitspo sweeping across Dubai and the UAE, action sports brand XDubai is taking fitness one step further and formally announcing three new Dubai Fitness Challenge events – Pump It, Rise with Us and the X3 Junior Triathlon – for athletes of all abilities and interests.
Set for 3 & 4 November, 12pm – 7pm during the Dubai Fitness Challenge Weekend Carnival at Skydive Dubai, the action-oriented Pump It will challenge skateboarders, BMXers and those who scooter to break convention and their own personal best time as they navigate a course in front of Carnival attendees. Hosted by XDubai Athlete and Professional BMXer, Ola Selsjord, the event is free to skateboarders, BMXers and scooter riders of all ages and abilities. Participants are required to bring their own ride, and registration will take place on site each day. In addition to competing for glory, prizes will also be up for grabs across a number of categories.
Also taking place during the Dubai Fitness Challenge Weekend Carnival at Skydive Dubai is Rise with Us, an exclusive sunrise yoga session with international yoga guru, Suneel Singh set for 4 November. Kicking off at 6am, the event will see over 1000 yogis welcome the sun with sun salutations from the runway of Skydive Dubai. With initial registration to the free event reaching capacity within a matter of days, XDubai is announcing a new allocation of tickets, released today (30 October) for those who were unable to book earlier. Those wishing to attend are encouraged to register as soon as possible to avoid disappointment. An event for those 18 years of age and older, registration can be made online.
Completing the line-up of new XDubai events set to take place during the Dubai Fitness Challenge is the X3 Junior Triathlon presented by Lacnor, scheduled for the penultimate day of the Dubai Fitness Challenge, Friday 17 November between 6am-10am on Kite Beach. Designed for youth between the ages of 4 and 16, the event will see young athletes compete in one of six age categories – and course lengths – across swimming, cycling and running. A fun family affair, the event will include a race festival designed to entertain and celebrate competitors and their families. Registration for the event will open soon and can be made through the XDubai website.
“XDubai is a strong supporter of community sports and fitness and the addition of these three new events during the inaugural Dubai Fitness Challenge is testament to our commitment to further bolster Dubai’s growing health and fitness culture,” said Mohammed Javad, General Manager of XDubai. “Not only do these events complement what is a growing calendar of community events hosted by XDubai, they also encourage the growth of new and exciting sports such as skateboarding and BMX within the community.”
The three new events add to XDubai’s growing calendar of community events, including those taking place during the Dubai Fitness Challenge: the highly successful Tricks for Treats, the XDubai Skatepark’s first Halloween event, which took place on 27 October at the XDubai Skatepark; and the upcoming XDubai Spartan Race presented by Dubai Holding, scheduled for 10 November in new race location Hatta.
