Yas Marina

For the first time in 2019, Yas Marina Circuit will welcome an array of motorsport entertainment as Yas Racing Series returns to the home of the FORMULA 1 ETIHAD AIRWAYS ABU DHABI GRAND PRIX.

On Friday 18th January, Yas Marina Circuit will be taken over by local motor racing competitions and will see three championships taking place, including; Radical Middle East Cup, NGK UAE Touring Car Championship and the next exciting round of Yas Marina Circuit’s single-make championship TRD 86 Cup.

Kicking off the motorsport action at 9am on Friday 18 January will be the TRD 86 Cup where Saudi national and local female driver Reema Juffali will be looking to continue her winning streak.

The Dragon Racing driver made an impressive start to her motor racing career and created history at Yas Marina Circuit in the last round of the series by becoming the first ever female Saudi Arabian racing driver to win a circuit race outright. She now leads the Silver Category in the TRD 86 Cup after the two most recent race meetings at the Dubai Autodrome and the Yas Marina Circuit.

Ahead of the race Reema Juffali said: “I’m really excited for the next round. We will be racing on a shorter layout, so it should spice things up even more. Stay tuned!”

In addition to TRD 86 Cup, Round 2 of Yas Racing Series will feature established favourites such as NGK Touring Car Championship, which sees different classes of Touring Cars and an exciting range of vehicles all on one race grid, Gulf Radical Cup, the longest running circuit race series in the region, as well as UAE time attack, looking to find the fastest single lap on the circuit.

With a general admission tickets for the action packed schedule of events starting from only AED55 per person, it’s great value for all members of the family. Racing begins at 09:00 on Friday 18 January.

Tickets can be purchased from www.yasmarinacircuit.com or call 800 YAS (927).
